Hi there
I am planning to make a sort of e-learning module for "Basic Laboratory Quality Control".
I hope it will help me alleviate the load of face to face teaching for the students doing the postgraduate diploma in Chemical Pathology, it's like short course for them to have basic information together with practical examples.
Hopefully, the students will be able to do some interactive learning that can be accomodated to their time and resources availabilities.
Ernst
Dear Ernst. This sounds like a very useful and meaningful project. Lab QA probably has a lot of visual elements (maybe short video-clips etc or diagrams) which makes creating material easier (but also harder at the same time because it is more time-consuming.
ReplyDeleteOne of the first reasons lecturers often turn to e-Learning is to save some time. While it takes more time at the start of the process to set up the learning space and material/ course, when done well it will later on pay dividends also in terms of time saved.
What you mention about interactivity, as well as flexibility for the students is crucial as you will need to motivate them to spend the time in your course. Should be relevant to their learning needs and be practically applicable, as well as being engaging.
Please let us know how your thoughts develop around your project.
Hi Blanco,
ReplyDeleteI think this project is very beneficial for postgraduate students because they can work with the material in their own time and is also a way to improve their computer skills.
Good luck!
